Sinochem News Network reported on November 24 that Westlake Chemical of the United States stated that it would acquire the global epoxy resin business of Hexion, a specialty chemicals company, for approximately US$1.

Through this acquisition (expected to be completed in the first half of 2022), West Lake Chemical will expand its integrated business by adding downstream coatings and composite product portfolios to its vinyl chloride business
