Zimbabwean fixed telephone operator TelOne recently announced that it has completed the construction of an optical cable from Makuti to Chirundu (the border with Zambia), with a total length of about 65 kilometers

It is understood that the construction of this fiber optic cable line complements another route to Zambia through Kariba, thereby enhancing communication capabilities
