Content Introduction Chinese Abstract: Objective: To use high-throughput sequencing technology to identify the saliva microbial community in the oral cavity of preschool children without caries, so as to reveal its community composition and structural characteristics.
Innovation: Revealed the composition and structural characteristics of the saliva microbial community of preschool children with deciduous dentition, laying a foundation for further research on the relationship between oral microecology and children’s health or disease.
Methods: We collected oral saliva samples from 35 caries-free preschool children with deciduous dentition, including 18 boys and 17 girls.
The Illumina MiSeq platform was used to sequence and analyze the 16S rDNA V3-V4 hypervariable region of the microbial samples to analyze the characteristics of the microbial community.
Conclusion: The dominant species in the saliva microbial community are distributed in 5 phyla and 13 genera of microbial species; gender factors do not cause significant differences in the composition and structure of the saliva microbial community; through functional prediction analysis, the most abundant gene in the microbial community The representative function and pathway are the transport and metabolism of amino acids.
Keyword group: saliva microbial community; no caries; preschool children; deciduous dentition; MiSeq sequencing; 16S rDNA V3-V4 hypervariable region Authors: Lei XU, Zhifang WU, Yuan WANG, Sa WANG, Chang SHU, Zhuhui DUAN, Shuli DENG Format cited in this article: Lei XU, Zhifang WU, Yuan WANG, Sa WANG, Chang SHU, Zhuhui DUAN, Shuli DENG, 2021.
