The Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region Development and Reform Commission and the Autonomous Region’s Department of Ecology and Environment have recently jointly issued the "Implementation Plan for Further Strengthening of Plastic Pollution Control" (hereinafter referred to as the "Plan").
The "Plan" clearly stated that by the end of 2020 , the production, sales and use of certain plastic products will be prohibited and restricted in certain regions and areas.
The "Plan" proposes to prohibit the production and sale of certain plastic products.
Regarding issues such as non-degradable plastic bags, disposable plastic tableware, and the promotion and application of alternative products and models, the "Plan" has also been clarified.
