Recently, the National Development and Reform Commission officially issued the approval of the Wuhan-Nanchang 1000 kV UHV AC project, marking that the project has the conditions
to start construction in 2022.
The Wuhan-Nanchang UHV AC project is an important part of
the UHV AC ring network in central China.
The project started the preliminary work in 2015, and after completion, Jiangxi Power Grid will form a complete UHV AC backbone network and fully integrate into the national UHV transmission pattern

Wuhan-Nanchang UHV AC project, starting from Wuhan 1000 kV substation in Xinzhou District, Wuhan City, Hubei Province, and landing at the 1000 kV substation in Ganjiang, Jinxian County, Nanchang City, Jiangxi Province, with a new line length of 2×462.

6 kilometers in Jiangxi Province, passing through Ruichang City, De'an County, Yongxiu County in Jiujiang, Xinjian District, High-tech Zone, Nanchang County and Jinxian County in Nanchang City, involving 2 cities and 7 counties (districts).
The Wuhan-Nanchang UHV project is expected to be completed and put into operation in 2023, which will further enhance Jiangxi Province's ability to participate in the allocation of high-quality resources across the country and promote the high-quality leapfrog development
of Jiangxi's economy.
