Destroyed chemical weapons account for 99% of the world's existing stockpiles, and the rest will be destroyed by the end of 2023

China is the original party to the Convention and the largest country that implements the Convention

Over the past 25 years, China has strictly fulfilled its obligations under the Convention, submitted 49 national declarations on time, and the number of declared enterprises accounted for about 27% of the total number of declarations in the world.
China has successfully passed 593 inspections of various types by the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons

China has made great efforts to promote the destruction of chemical weapons abandoned by Japan in China.
By the end of February 2022, a total of 89,834 pieces (pieces) of Japanese chemical weapons have been excavated and recovered, and the destruction facilities in Nanjing, Wuhan, Shijiazhuang, Harbin and Harbaling have destroyed Japanese chemical weapons.
60,213 pieces (pieces) were destroyed, of which 19,693 pieces (pieces) were destroyed in Harbaling
