    Today (April 29) marks the 25th anniversary of the entry into force of the Chemical Weapons Convention and the 7th International OPCW Day

    Over the past 25 years, China has strictly fulfilled its obligations under the Convention, submitted 49 national declarations on time, and the number of declared enterprises accounted for about 27% of the total number of declarations in the world.
    China has successfully passed 593 inspections of various types by the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons

    China has made great efforts to promote the destruction of chemical weapons abandoned by Japan in China.
    By the end of February 2022, a total of 89,834 pieces (pieces) of Japanese chemical weapons have been excavated and recovered, and the destruction facilities in Nanjing, Wuhan, Shijiazhuang, Harbin and Harbaling have destroyed Japanese chemical weapons.
    60,213 pieces (pieces) were destroyed, of which 19,693 pieces (pieces) were destroyed in Harbaling
