    At 11:18 on November 25, 2021, as the last wind turbine was connected to the grid, all 91 wind turbines of the 500,000-kilowatt offshore wind power project in Shanwei Houhu of China General Nuclear Power Group (CGN) were connected to the grid for power generation, becoming a domestic shipping order.

    The Shanwei Houhu offshore wind power project site is located in the sea area south of Lufenghudong Town, Shanwei City, Guangdong Province.


    The center of the site is about 12 kilometers offshore and the water depth is 23 to 26 meters.


    According to relevant personnel from China General Nuclear Power Corporation, the coastal waters of eastern Guangdong where the Shanwei Houhu Offshore Wind Power Project is located is one of the most complicated sea areas in China.


    The annual effective construction window is less than 100 days, the geological conditions are complex and the construction is difficult


    Statistics show that the project’s annual on-grid power can reach 1.
