Texas-based flexible packaging manufacturer Indevco Plastics has launched a new line of industrial bags and films with post-industrial resin (PIR) or post-consumer resin (PCR) content, including form fill seal (FFS) films, open pockets and more
Last month, Indevco announced a recyclable shrink wrap for the beverage and processed food industries that contains 50 percent PCR material
"We've been using PIR since we opened in 2015," said Wayne Mashe, general manager of Indevco's North American Plastics Division.
The company's FFS films, polyethylene (PE) films and open-mouth plastic bags are commonly used by industrial manufacturers to package agricultural minerals, construction materials, industrial salt, lawn and garden products, pet food, and petrochemicals
Jay Bodine, Indevco Plastics Plant Manager, said: “We are leveraging new technologies from machine builders and resin suppliers to do two things
