    Cepsa Química, a subsidiary of Spanish oil company Cepsa, said it has supplied Unilever with the world's first sustainable linear alkylbenzene (LAB) product, which will be used in Synthetic surfactants for the manufacture of detergent products


    The company's NextLab-branded products include renewable and recycled raw materials produced using a mass balance method, Cepsa said


    Chemicals used in the manufacture of Unilever cleaning and laundry products account for the largest share of its lifecycle carbon footprint at 46%, Cepsa data shows


    Cepsa Química is the main producer of LAB, the main raw material for biodegradable detergents, the largest producer of cumene in the world, and the second largest producer of phenol and acetone
