02Technical transformation project of ethylene PVC production line
It is reported that the polyvinyl chloride plant is an important chlorine-consuming process production device in the ethylene project, which is used to consume hydrogen chloride gas by-products of the TDI plant built in Wanhua Yantai Industrial Park, reduce the waste hydrochloric acid output in the park, and alleviate the market pressure and environmental protection pressure
caused by hydrochloric acid.
The main contents of this technical transformation project are:
VCM (vinyl chloride) process replaced two oxychlorination reactors, and VCM production capacity increased from 400,000 tons/year to 480,000 tons/year; The PVC (polyvinyl chloride) process adds 2 polymerization kettles, 2 centrifuges and 1 set of cold demineralized water deoxygenation system, the PVC production capacity remains unchanged at 400,000 tons/year, and the quality of PVC products is improved; Construction of supporting VCM loading and EDC loading facilities

After the transformation, the VCM process capacity of Wanhua Chemical Yantai Base will reach 480,000 tons/year, which will help balance the hydrogen chloride production capacity of the park.
