UK mobile network operator Vodafone UK has launched its 5G network in seven cities across the country, while rolling out a series of policies to provide unlimited data
for 4G and 5G networks.
Vodafone UK's 5G network coverage covers Birmingham, Bristol, Cardiff, Glasgow, Manchester, Liverpool and London, while it has set up other locations to expand later this year, namely: Beggenheit, Blackpool, Bournemouth, Guildford, Newbury, Portsmouth, Plymouth, Reading, Southampton, Stoke-on-Trent, Warrington and Wolverhampton
.
At the same time, Vodafone also revealed that 5G commercial residential users will be available from July 10, 2019, including three options
.
The entry-level option "Vodafone Unlimited Lite" limits download speeds to 2Mbps and costs £23 per month, while the mid-level option "Vodafone Unlimited" increases the maximum download rate to 10Mbps and costs £26 per month
.
The premium option is Vodafone Unlimited Max, which will cost £30 per month and offers unlimited data usage
at "speeds allowed by your device and network".
Vodafone UK also offers unlimited plans
tailored specifically for business users.
Nick Jeffery, CEO of Vodafone UK, said: "Our customers' content traffic today is more than 50% higher than last year, and for 5G, data demand will only increase
