Vestas announced today that it has secured its first wind order
in Panama with a wind energy solution for the 66 MW Toabré wind farm.
The wind turbine will support Panama's ambition to get half of its electricity from renewable sources by 2050
.
The order, provided by Elecnor, includes 20 V117-3.
45 MW turbines delivered in a 3.
3 MW load optimised mode

The order expands Vestas' global reach, which now includes wind turbines in 79 different countries, and highlights the growing
demand for wind energy in emerging economies.

Elecnor will be responsible for the engineering, procurement and construction
of the project.
Steam turbine deliveries are expected in the first quarter of 2019 and are expected to be commissioned
in the fourth quarter of 2019.
