Recently, Danish wind turbine manufacturer Vestas announced that it received two wind turbine supply orders from North America in early June, with a total power generation capacity of 406 MW
    .

According to Vestas, both projects are expected to be delivered
    in 2019.

The first of these projects comes from EnerAB, a joint venture between The AES Corporation and Grupo BAL, for the 306 MW Vestas V136-3.
45 MW wind turbine for the
    Mesarabass wind turbine.
Vestas will supply and install 85 turbines that have been upgraded to 3.
6 MW power optimisation mode, with a 15-year service agreement
    between the two parties.

"Vestas' continued strategic focus on the Mexican market, increasing its manufacturing footprint and installed capacity, which supports Mexico's growth and creates jobs, currently under construction or installed in Tamaulipas, has developed into a strong example
for other countries in Latin America to create a more sustainable energy mix," said Vestas' Senior Director of Sales.

The CEO of EnerAB added, "EnerAB is committed to providing safe, reliable and sustainable energy solutions
    to our customers.
We recently won a 25-year PPA
for the 306 MW Mesarabas wind energy facility.
This is Mexico's first renewable PPA of more than 300 MW, funded entirely through a private company held in the United States
    .
We chose Vestas as a supplier based on our shared strategic focus on the Mexican market and its long-term potential
to contribute to the realization of a green energy future.
Through EnerAB, Grupo Bal and AES are designed to help Mexico reach its 2024 target
of generating 35% of electricity from renewable sources.

In addition, Vestas supplied 100 MW of wind turbines from Southern Power, a leading U.
    S.
energy supplier, for the Mustang Mountain wind power project
    developed for Oklahoma.
Vestas will supply nearly 30 V136-3.
45 MW wind turbines and will service wind farms within 20 years
    .

"With this order, Southern Power has coast-to-coast renewable energy facilities, and with this order, Vestas once again demonstrates its ability to leverage its extensive experience across the wind farm's value chain and develop solutions
that meet specific customer needs," said Vestas' head of U.
    S.
    and Canada.
From the development phase of our code development team to long-term service agreements, Vestas provides solutions at every stage of the project lifecycle to ensure the lowest energy costs, the highest technical quality and the best campus performance
