    Vestas Wind Systems in Vestas, Denmark, today announced the delivery of an order
    for turbines for a 290 MW wind power project in the United States.

    One of the deals, led by Canadian utility Algonquin Power & Utilities Corp, covers the supply, installation and commissioning
    of turbines at two locations for the Vestas EnVentus platform.

    Under the contract, the Danish manufacturer will supply 16 6.
    0 MW V162-6.
    2 MW turbines and one V150-6.
    0 MW turbine in 5.
    6 MW operation mode for the Deerfield 2 wind farm in Michigan

    Meanwhile, the Sandy Ridge 2 wind farm in Algonquin, Pennsylvania, will be equipped with 14 V150-6.
    0 MW turbines and one V136-3.
    45 MW turbine in 3.
    6 MW operating mode

    The wind turbine manufacturer will begin deliveries of equipment in the second quarter of 2022, while the wind farm will be operational
    in the fourth quarter of the same year.

    Under another deal awarded by an unnamed customer, Vestas will supply 24 V150-4.
    2 MW turbines for an unspecified project for a total of 101 MW.

    It will also provide maintenance services for hardware under multi-year agreements

    Turbine deliveries are scheduled to begin in the third quarter of 2022 and commissioning
    is scheduled for the fourth quarter of 2022.
