Apex Energy has developed renewable diesel for its Mobile, Alabama-based development, according to a statement released Thursday by natural gas supplier Matheson Tri-State.
Apex Energy has acquired the refinery from Shell and completed the acquisition on April 1
Apex Energy plans to convert the refinery's hydrocracking unit to produce renewable diesel by the end of this year
Apex Energy said Denmark's Haldor Topsoe, which provides the renewable diesel process technology, will "lead the way in technology implementation"
