Recently, Vattenfall has now formed a tender preparation alliance in Dunkerque, France, to further enter the European wind energy market
.
Senior Vice President and Head of Wind Business Domain, said: "France is a very interesting market
for Vattenfall wind energy operations.
To gain a foothold, we will solidify our position as the world's leading offshore wind developer and make us more fossil-free
for a generation.
A stronger wind presence will also strengthen our supply operations
in France.
”
This is the third time the French government has provided a venue
for offshore wind tenders.
Back in May 2017, during the prequalification phase, including Vattenfall, 10 companies
had been selected for the project.
The competitive dialogue phase of the dialogue meeting between the participating companies and the French state went well
.
After the dialogue phase, the company will prepare bids
using the study conducted by the French state.
These cover the specifications of wind farms and the avenues
for providing environmental and technical studies.
Tenders will ultimately be evaluated based on three criteria: price, optimization of the wind zone and consideration of the environment
.
The winning bidder is expected to be announced
in the second half of this year.
The decision to participate in bids and investments is subject to approval by the Board of Directors of Vattenfall
