    The automotive industry is undergoing drastic changes as the world strives to reduce fossil fuel use and carbon emissions, and vehicle electrification is gaining traction

    Demand for high-voltage auto parts is expected to increase as automakers increasingly turn to electric vehicles

    PA 66 and PBT can be used in electric vehicle applications such as batteries, power control units (PCUs) and motor/generators

    Testing has found that the performance of the PEBT grade is almost unchanged even in high temperature, humid environments, and Polyplastics believes it is more suitable for high voltage applications than PA66


    .


    The test results also show that DURANEX® PBT CG7030 maintains its dielectric breakdown strength in a high temperature and high humidity environment (85°C/85%RH, after 1000 hours)


    .


    Compared with PA66-GF33%, the volume resistivity of DURANEX® PBT CG7030 is also improved, indicating a significant decrease in volume resistivity under high heat and high humidity environment
