    Universal Cable receives an order for 45 km array cables from German offshore wind farms

    Norddeutsche Seekabelwerke GmbH (NSW), the German subsidiary of General Cable Company, has received an order
    for array cables for wind farms in Germany.

    NSW will supply 45 km of medium-voltage submarine array cables for the Deutsche Bucht offshore wind farm in Germany, and complete delivery
    in spring 2019.

    The Deutsche Bucht offshore wind farm, located in the North Sea of Germany, about 95 km northwest of Borkum Island, has an installed capacity of 252 MW and is scheduled to be completed
    by the end of 2019.
    Once operational, it will provide 178,000 German households with sufficient clean electricity
    .

    Patrick Schneider, Head of General Cable's German subsidiary, said: "We are very pleased to be able to further expand our position in
    the German renewable energy market.
    Thanks to partner Van Oord for their long-standing trust

    Germany's energy transition.
