Recently, at the Fourth Annual Meeting of the Seventh Session of the National Petroleum Drilling Equipment and Tools Standardization Technical Committee (hereinafter referred to as the National Drilling Standards Committee), the Jianghan Oilfield Engineering Institute drafted two industry standards "SY/T7462- 2019 Oil and Gas Drilling and Production Equipment Dissolvable Bridge Plug and SY/T5106-2019 Oil and Gas Drilling and Production Equipment Packer Specification won the special prize and first prize of the Standard Innovation Contribution Award during the 13th Five-Year Plan Period of the National Drilling Standards Committee prize.
In view of the large number of existing domestic technical standards, the lack of systematic consideration in the process of standard formulation and revision, the contradictions between standards, and the incompatibility issues, in March 2016, the National Drilling Standards Committee organized a meeting in Beijing and determined that the Jianghan Institute of Engineering Formulate the "Packer National Standards and Industry Standards Integration Plan" to optimize and integrate relevant standard systems to ensure the seriousness and authority of the standards, improve product use functions and safety and reliability, and promote the standards to serve enterprise production and international trade.
After more than three years of research, repeated revisions and soliciting opinions, the Jianghan Oilfield Engineering Institute, in conjunction with relevant industry units and industry experts, were released on November 4, 2019 and officially implemented on May 1, 2020.
Since the soluble bridge plug is a new tool mainly used in shale gas fields in recent years, it is used in a large amount and is temporarily not incorporated into the packer specification industry standard.
The award of the two standards at the same time indicates that Jianghan Oilfield has made new progress in the standardization work and has made outstanding contributions to the development of the downhole tool industry.
