As a member of the Silicon-Based Module Super Alliance (SMSL), Trina Solar will supply 258MW of monocrystalline PERC double-glazed modules
to private solar projects in Vietnam.
It is understood that the project is the first hybrid wind and solar farm project
    in Vietnam.

The power station has received investment from Vietnamese investment
    company Trung Nam Group.
Construction is scheduled to be completed
    on June 30, 2019.
The total investment in the power station is about 220 million US dollars, covering an area of 264 hectares
    .

"We are honored to partner with Trung Nam to develop an integrated renewable energy generation project that sets a new benchmark for the Vietnamese industry and signals Trina Solar's commitment to emerging markets," said Trina Solar's
Vice President and Head of Global Sales and Marketing.
In addition to our deep understanding of the Vietnamese market, we have established a 1GW solar cell production facility in the country, in addition to several new projects
    under development.

In 2017, Trina Solar shipped more than 9GW worldwide, of which more than 60% was delivered to PV manufacturers outside their home market in China
    .

Despite a decline in domestic demand for residential and utility-scale ground-based solar PV installations due to the government's new PV market policy on May 31, 2018, Trina Solar said in a release that it is strengthening its ability to
    expand overseas markets.
The company has a portion of its long-term development plans and strategies to balance its focus
    on traditional and emerging markets.
