Japanese company Toyota Tsusho has reportedly retained at least 25 percent of its stake in Alsons Power Group's Siguil hydropower project, which is expected to generate about 15 megawatts of capacity
.
But according to Mr.
Tomas I Alcantara, Chairman of Alsons Consolidated Resources, Inc.
, the Japanese company has not yet finalized its hydropower investment decision
until it completes its technical, financial and commercial studies on the project.
He added that with the participation of Toyota Tsusho, this will enable project companies to obtain financing through the joint credit facility facility of the Japanese government, which mainly studies carbon credit trading
.
At present, Japan's Siguil hydropower project is expected to inject 600 million to 700 million yen
for the first time.
He also said it was a normal push
for them to offer equity to Toyota Tsusho.
The Japanese company is a very valuable partner
in its Sarangani coal power project.
ACR's executive vice president and COO said the project implementation framework "is now at a very advanced stage
.
But it still requires a longer process because we need to CSP (competitive selection process) for our PSA (Power Protocol).
