China Petrochemical News Network reported on June 4, according to oilfield technology, Total Energy and Novatek signed a memorandum of understanding to jointly work on the sustainable reduction of carbon dioxide emissions from liquefied natural gas production, including the use of renewables.
Each partner will bring its most advanced technology and combine its expertise to explore and develop projects that help reduce the carbon footprint of the LNG value chain, using:
Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS)
energy efficiency
Renewable power source
Carbon neutral LNG marketing

TotalEnergies partners with Novatek
TotalEnergies and Novatek have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to jointly work on sustainable reductions of the CO2 emission resulting from the production of LNG including with the use of renewable power, to develop large-scale carbon capture and storage solutions (CCS) and to explore new opportunities for developing decarbonised hydrogen and ammonia.
