Total Corbion PLA announces name change to TotalEnergies Corbion

Following the change of Total's name to TotalEnergies at the beginning of the year, Total Corbion PLA, a 50/50 joint venture between TotalEnergies and Corbion, also announced that it will be renamed TotalEnergies Corbion and will roll out a new company name and logo in phases over the next few months.

This product contains high heat and standard PLA grades and is used in markets ranging from packaging to consumer goods, fibers and automotive

The biodegradable and compostable properties of PLA make it the material of choice for a wide range of markets and applications including fresh fruit packaging, food serving dishes, consumer durables, toys, and 3D printing

The company also plans to build a second plant in Grandpuits (France) in response to the growing PLA market demand

Luminy PLA resin from TotalEnergies Corbion is a bio-based material made from an annual renewable resource

Its carbon footprint is significantly lower than many other traditional plastics

At the end of its useful life, PLA products can also be mechanically or chemically recycled
