Far East New Century (FENC) Top Green Heat Shrinkable PET Film for Shrink Sleeve Labels has been approved by the Association for Plastics Recycling (APR) as meeting the APR Key Guidance Protocol for Labeled and Sealed Clear PET Articles (PET- CG-02) requirements

According to George Pinter from the company's partner Klear Plastic Ventures LLC (KPV), the heat-shrinkable PET film can significantly improve the recyclability of PET bottles compared to alternative polyester materials such as PETG

During the PET bottle recycling process, polyester shrink-sleeve labels remaining in the bottle are ground into flakes and sink with the PET bottle flakes

KPV said they will work with customers and ink suppliers to promote the use of Top Green films with washable and non-stain ink systems to provide a more complete recycling solution
