On June 11, the State Administration of Market Supervision (National Standards Committee) promulgated the national standard of "GB/T 39970-2021 Vehicle Tire Freewheeling Passing Noise Limits and Grades"

According to Wang Kexian, the main drafter and director of the Beijing Rubber Industry Research and Design Institute, automobile noise mainly comes from five aspects, including wind noise, engine noise, chassis noise, tire noise, and exhaust noise

As early as 2007, the European Union put forward the first stage requirements for the inertial coasting noise of automobile tires.

This standard mainly stipulates the noise limit, grade technical index and related judgment rules of car tires, light truck tires, and truck tires

Wang Kexian said that the standard is divided into two levels, and the level indicators adopt the indicators specified in the European Union ECE/R NO.

Wang Kexian said that the issuance and implementation of the "Tire Noise Standard" is conducive to controlling the noise generated by automobile tires and reducing the pollution caused by tire noise; meeting the needs of the tire industry, providing it with a unified, standardized and authoritative nationwide National standards
