On November 5, the Northwest Electric Power Trading Sub-center revealed that this year, Tibet's hydropower transmission reached 330 million kilowatt-hours, and the maximum external power transmission was 240,000 kilowatts, which is equivalent to reducing coal consumption in receiving areas by 110,000 tons and reducing carbon dioxide emissions by 300,000 tons
.
Since then, the units of the Zangmu Hydropower Station, the largest hydropower development project in Tibet, have been put into operation one after another, and the installed capacity of hydropower in Tibet has grown rapidly, and the power supply and demand situation has changed from a year-round power shortage to a "surplus and drought"
for the first time.
In order to do a good job in the transmission and consumption of hydropower in Tibet, the Northwest Electric Power Trading Sub-center prepared a consumption plan in advance, coordinated the implementation of consumption space and price, and organized the signing of consumption trading contracts; Strengthen multi-party communication, rationally arrange the Chaila DC transmission plan, and increase the transmission of surplus hydropower from Tibet during the trough period of electricity consumption
.
With the decrease in water supply and the drop in temperature, Tibet's power balance "turns from surplus to shortage", and the Northwest Electric Power Trading Sub-center will continue to organize electricity transmission to Tibet, giving full play to the role of Chaila DC in optimizing the allocation of energy resources to ensure Tibet's electricity demand
