According to the German "Focus" weekly report on the 22nd, in order to curb the increasingly serious plastic pollution, the United Nations is preparing to negotiate a global treaty.
Commissioned by the World Wildlife Fund, the survey targets more than 20,000 people from 28 countries and regions around the world, covering Asia, Europe, Oceania and the Americas
The survey shows that the countries most in favor of banning single-use plastic products are developing countries such as Colombia, Mexico and India, which have a "serious plastic waste crisis"
If the United Nations struggles to reach a global agreement to curb plastic pollution, widespread ecological destruction will occur in the coming decades, driving some marine life to the brink of extinction, according to a study released this month by the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF).
