The Zhundong-Wannan Project is an important milestone in State Grid's continuous innovation in the field of UHV transmission, and has refreshed a new height
of world power grid technology.
The construction of the project has further enhanced China's international influence and core competitiveness
in the field of power grid technology and electrical equipment manufacturing.
UHVDC transmission with ultra-large capacity, ultra-long distance and lower loss is of great demonstration significance
for orderly promoting domestic, intracontinental and intercontinental interconnection and building a global energy Internet.
Following the comprehensive construction of the "four-crossing, four-direct" UHV project in the air pollution prevention and control action plan on December 15, 2015, the first UHV transmission project in 2016, the 1100 kV UHVDC transmission project in Zhundong-Anhuinan± (hereinafter referred to as the "Zhundong-Anhui South Project") officially started on
January 11.
The project starts from Changji Autonomous Prefecture in Xinjiang and ends in Xuancheng, Anhui, passing through six provinces and regions of Xinjiang, Gansu, Ningxia, Shaanxi, Henan and Anhui, with a total length of 3,324 kilometers
.
The project investment is 40.
7 billion yuan, and it is expected to be completed and put into operation
in 2018.
The Zhundong-Anhui South Project has achieved a new leap
in independent innovation.
The voltage level has increased from ±800 kV to ±1100 kV, the transmission capacity has increased from 6.
4 million kW to 12 million kW, the economic transmission distance has increased to 3000-5000 km, and the transmission loss per 1,000 km has been reduced to about 1.
