On June 10, 2021, the Tianjin LNG terminal of Sinopec Natural Gas Branch completed the 308th ship unloading task, the world's largest FSRU—MOL FSRU CHALLENGER/Challenger, which is the second to the Q-Max LNG ship unloading on November 10, 2020 AL MAFYAR (unloading: 206,985 cubic meters) and the Q-Flex LNG ship AL HUWAILA/Fovaena (unloading: 142,711 cubic meters) were successfully unloaded on April 26, 2021.
The largest ship type, the FSRU-MOL FSRU CHALLENGER/Challenger has an unloading volume of 22,4473.
9 cubic meters, setting the record for the highest single-vessel unloading volume at the Tianjin LNG receiving station of Sinopec Natural Gas Branch, thus further testing the navigability and berthing capacity of the Tianjin LNG receiving station.
The berthing technology also marks the improvement of the station's unloading and storage capacity, and has accumulated rich experience for Sinopec in berthing large LNG carriers
