Con Edison, a major energy company that supplies electricity to New York City, New York, and its suburbs, announced on June 13 that it will promote the "virtual power station project"
with photovoltaic power generation equipment and fixed storage batteries installed in more than 300 homes.
The project will be carried out
in cooperation with SunPower, a large solar panel manufacturer.
It is said that customers who own their own houses and meet the conditions for participating in the project will be provided with photovoltaic power generation systems and fixed storage batteries
free of charge.
