The UHV AC GIL test line segment was successfully
installed.
On June 4, the world's first environmentally friendly UHV AC gas-insulated transmission line (GIL) test line section (1000kV/6300A, 63kA/3s) was successfully
installed in the UHV AC test base.
The project provides technical support
for the structural design, installation, test and long-term reliable operation of the Sutong GIL pipe gallery engineering equipment in the Huainan-Nanjing-Shanghai 1000 kV UHV AC transmission and transformation project.
The project is an important part of the State Grid Corporation of China's major science and technology project in 2014 "UHV GIL test line segment development and live assessment research", led by the China Electric Power Research Institute
.
After two and a half years of research, the 100-meter UHV AC GIL test line section using environmental protection gas insulation was successfully developed and successfully passed the type test, and the project team mastered the key technologies such as UHV GIL structural design, manufacturing process, construction operation and maintenance, and obtained key parameters
such as UHV GIL environmental protection gas insulation characteristics and electromagnetic environment characteristics 。 The project team will carry out the full-voltage and current live assessment of the UHV AC GIL test line section, in-depth study of long-term insulation characteristics of environmental protection gases, on-site handover test, online monitoring, robot (or drone) inspection and other technologies, and explore new technologies
such as ultra-long GIL pipeline tunnel installation, inspection and operation and maintenance.
Sutong GIL Gallery Project is currently the world's highest voltage level, the largest transmission capacity, the most advanced technical level of ultra-long-distance GIL project, the project uses the tunnel (6 km) to lay GIL to cross the river
.
After completion, the Huainan-Nanjing-Shanghai project will be combined with the Huainan-Zhejiang-Shanghai project that has been put into operation, forming an ultra-high voltage ring network in East China that runs through the load centers of Anhui, Jiangsu, Zhejiang and Shanghai, which is of great significance
for improving the acceptance capacity of East China Power Grid and improving the level of safety and stability.
