According to the latest announcement of Pakistani telecommunications company PTCL, the fault repair of the Fujairah section of the Asia-Africa-1 submarine cable system (AAE-1) in the United Arab Emirates has been completed
recently.
PTCL said on social media that "some users may face a deterioration in the quality of service due to the breakdown of the submarine cable near Fujairah

" However, the faulty cable segment has been repaired and the service will be fully restored to normal

In addition, the previously reported S1H segment fault of the AAE-1 submarine cable will be repaired
by November 14.
On September 4 and 7, 2021, the AAE-1 submarine cable experienced two failures in the S1H segment, affecting internet connectivity
from Vietnam to Singapore.
The 25,000-kilometer AAE-1 network connected to Asia, the Middle East, East Africa and Europe
is owned by a consortium of 19 service providers worldwide.
This is the second time this year that the AAE-1 submarine cable has had problems; The previous failure was reported on May 25 and repaired
on July 12.
AAE-1 has been described as "the longest 100Gbps technology-based submarine cable system" with a design capacity of more than 40Tbps
