Emirates Integrated Telecommunications Corporation (EITC), which operates under the Du brand, has revealed plans to deploy an undersea cable system
between Pakistan and the UAE.

The submarine cable system, known as the Orient Express, will connect Karachi in Pakistan and Gwadar to Kalba, UAE, with a total length of about 1,300 kilometers
.

As a partner telecommunications operator in the project, the group wi-tribe Pakistan of HB International Investment Corporation will also support
the system.

EITC will be responsible for the construction of the landing station for the new submarine cable and related infrastructure

According to the plan, the submarine cable system will be put into service
in 2020.
