The Spanish Photovoltaic Alliance (UNEF) estimates that it will invest between €4 billion and €5 billion
in the domestic solar industry over the next two years.
UNEF President Jose Donoso made the announcement
during a hearing before the Spanish Senate Committee on Energy, Tourism and Digital Agenda.
Donoso noted that the Spanish solar market is expected to grow to €2 billion per year by 2020, highlighting the potential
for solar energy in the country to create business opportunities.
Currently, Spain's solar industry is looking for energy tenders such as power purchase agreements (PPAs).
The country is deploying up to 24 gigawatts of photovoltaic (PV) projects
in numerous autonomous communities.
