Comprehensive foreign media news, the UK is working to repair the SHEFA-2 submarine cable
between the Shetland and Orkney Islands in Scotland.
The system is also connected to the Faroe Islands and is owned

The SHEFA-2 submarine cable was put into commercial use
in March 2008.
The system is 1000 km long and is owned and/or operated
by Faroe Telecom.
