On August 31, 2016, German organic thin-film solar cell manufacturer Heliatek announced that the second phase of its large-scale pilot project in Singapore has been completed
.
Solar PV film HeliaFilm is tested in tropical climates to provide energy solutions for Asia's growing cities, which is also the largest BIPV (Building Integrated Organic Photovoltaic) project
in Asia.
The solar film covers the Seletar Aerospace and Cleantech Park projects
Last year, the first phase of the Seletar Aerospace project was laid with solar film, and HeliaFilm installed an area of 200 square meters in the first and second phase of Cleantech Park, with a peak power generation of more than 10kWp
.
PV building integration projects will continue until mid-2017
The Singapore Solar Energy Research Institute conducts ongoing supervision and collects data to show that HeliaFilm's high temperature performance is stable, and the project will continue until mid-2017
.
Thibaud LeSéguillon, CEO of Heliatek, said: "This pilot project successfully demonstrates how HeliaFilm can provide truly green energy solutions
for sustainable urban development.
