According to the Vietnam Cable Management Commission, repairs to the AAE-1 submarine cable connecting Asia, Europe and Africa will be postponed until July 1, and the system is expected to resume service
on July 7.

AAE-1 is one of Vietnam's important submarine cable systems, and other submarine cables connected by Vietnam include the Asia-America Gateway (AAG), the Asia-Pacific Gateway (APG), the TGN-Intra-Asia Cable System (TGN-IA) and the South-East Asia-Middle East-Western Europe 3 (SMW-3).
