Recently, from the press conference of the "waste-free city" construction plan held by the Information Office of the Wuhan Municipal People's Government, the news came that the city strengthened the recycling of waste agricultural film and pesticide packaging waste, of which the recycling rate of agricultural film reached 81.

Tang Jichao, deputy director of the Wuhan Municipal Bureau of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, introduced that in recent years, the city's agricultural and rural departments have actively built a recycling and treatment system with the participation of the government, farmers, enterprises and society, as well as a long-term mechanism of "user classification and aggregation, government support and market-oriented operation", which significantly improves the recycling rate

In 2021, 35 agricultural film recycling pilots were built in the demonstration of Wuhan's key agricultural film mulching areas, with an annual agricultural film use of 2270.

In the next step, the agricultural and rural departments of Wuhan will promote standard mulch film and fully biodegradable mulch film, and continue to promote the recycling of "two wastes", and plan to achieve more than 85% of the recycling rate of agricultural film and more than 80% of pesticide packaging waste by 2025
