On September 22, the 1,000 tons/year POE (polyolefin elastomer) pilot plant was successfully started in Maoming Petrochemical, smoothly opening up the whole process, producing qualified products, and achieving continuous and stable operation
.
The device adopts the olefin solution polymerization technology
independently developed by Sinopec.
The successful start-up of the plant marks that Sinopec has become the first technology patenter with relevant sets of independent intellectual property rights in China, filling the domestic gap and laying a solid foundation
for the smooth operation of Sinopec's 50,000 tons/year POE industrialization plant under construction.
POE is widely used in material toughening and modification, foaming, building materials and other fields, and is a key core material
for the preparation of a new generation of photovoltaic adhesive film.
Over the years, the Science and Technology Department of the Group Company, together with various departments, has given full play to the operational advantages of the "large corps", organized the Beijing Research Institute of Chemical Industry to carry out laboratory research, and then organized the Engineering Construction Company, Maoming Petrochemical, Qingdao Safety Engineering Research Institute and East China University of Science and Technology to carry out engineering technology development
