    As of the end of April 2018, the number of new energy operating vehicles in Guangdong reached 61,000, accounting for about 15% of the national total, ranking first in the country.
    Among them, 56,000 pure electric operating vehicles accounted for 92%
    of the total number of new energy operating vehicles.
    The number of new energy city buses reached 36,000, accounting for 54% of the total number of public transport vehicles in the province, ranking second in the country; New energy public transport vehicles have achieved regional, large-scale and intensive development in the Pearl River Delta region, Shenzhen has taken the lead in realizing the full electrification of public transport, the bus electrification rate in Shanwei City exceeds 95%, and the bus electrification rate in Meizhou, Yangjiang and Jieyang City exceeds 65%.
