In order to implement the "Environmental Protection Law of the People's Republic of China", protect the ecological environment, protect human health, and standardize the monitoring of the ecological environment, the "Technical Specifications for Groundwater Environmental Monitoring" is now approved as a national environmental protection standard and is promulgated.

This standard was first published in 2004.

——The terms and definitions of environmental monitoring wells have been added;

——Increase the layout of groundwater monitoring points in drinking water source protection areas and replenishment areas, pollution sources and surrounding areas;

——Added the mark of environmental monitoring well;

——Canceled the construction of the information system;

—— Cancel the normative appendices of related content such as quality control indicators for groundwater monitoring laboratories;

——Complemented and improved the construction and management of environmental monitoring wells, sample collection, monitoring projects, quality assurance and quality control and other related content

Since the implementation of this standard, the "Technical Specifications for Groundwater Environmental Monitoring" (HJ/T 164 -2004) shall be abolished
