Evonik Industries Group, the world's leading specialty chemical company, announced that Mr.
Xia Fuliang, the current head of the company's resource efficiency business unit North Asia, will take over the role of Evonik China on January 1, 2020, in addition to his existing business responsibilities.

Xia Filiang will succeed Dr.
Claas Klasen, who will retire at the end of 2019 after serving Evonik for more than 30 years

Xia Fuliang holds a Bachelor of Laws from Fudan University in Shanghai and a Master of Economics from Heidelberg University in Germany
