In modern society, although the highway has solved many problems for inter-city traffic, but the noise problem has been plaguing the surrounding people, Eindhoven University of Technology in the Netherlands is developing a new type of roadside solar sound insulation belt, while blocking the noise of the highway, the integrated LSC solar light collector panel can also act as a solar panel to provide electricity for residents
.
And visually very impactful, the colorful appearance can act as a landscape of the city

The Netherlands develops solar soundproofing belts for highways
Michael Debije of Eindhoven University of Technology in the Netherlands, developed the technology, is being deployed along both sides of the A2 highway in the Netherlands for a year-long test, where technicians will evaluate the power generation efficiency and maintenance costs of these barricades
.
Each translucent panel is about 5 meters wide and 4 meters high, and 1 kilometer of such barricades are connected enough to power fifty homes
.
According to Debije, these barricades are beautiful and colorful, suitable for many construction environments
.
The cost is also very low, and the LSC solar collector panels can work even in cloudy weather, which has great potential
