of the Electric Vehicle Sub-technical Committee of the National Automotive Standardization Technical Committee.
This means that the national standard of charging piles is about to be introduced, breaking the monopoly
of local car companies in local charging piles.
According to the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the charging interface and communication protocol of the new energy vehicle charging pile are the basic standards to ensure the interconnection between electric vehicles and charging infrastructure, of which the charging interface standard is centralized by the automotive industry, including three parts: general requirements, AC charging interface, and DC charging interface, and the communication protocol standard is centralized by the power industry
.
It is understood that the National Standards Committee officially issued the charging interface standard revision plan in 2014, due to the insufficient application experience and data accumulation of the previous standard, some terms and technical details of the charging interface and communication protocol standards are not detailed enough, and there are still problems in the application process between different vehicles and charging facilities that are not fully compatible

Xu Xinchao, director of the New Energy and New Materials Division of the Beijing Municipal Science and Technology Commission, said that the new standard of charging interface and the national standard of charging pile for new energy vehicles are carried out simultaneously, and the national standard of charging interface passing the review will also accelerate the introduction
