The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology launched the Tibet section project

During the meeting, Miao Wei, Minister of Industry and Information Technology, and Lobsang Jiangcun, Chairman of the People's Government of the Tibet Autonomous Region, signed a new round of strategic cooperation agreements
on behalf of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and the People's Government of the Tibet Autonomous Region.
The project will build a total length of 730 kilometers of trunk optical cable, with an estimated investment of more than 100 million yuan, and will be completed
by the end of 2016.
This is of great significance
for improving the communication infrastructure service capacity of Tibet's agricultural and pastoral areas and for closer information exchange between Tibet and the hinterland.
