The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology has made it clear that 6 kinds of petrochemical and chemical process equipment will be eliminated within a time limit

In order to speed up the elimination of outdated production processes and equipment that produce industrial solid waste that seriously pollutes the environment and continue to improve the level of industrial green development, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology recently announced the "List of Outdated Production Processes and Equipment for Eliminating Industrial Solid Waste that Produces Serious Environmental Pollution within a Time Limit".

There are 6 types of petrochemical chemical process equipment to be phased out within a time limit, namely

Waste rubber and plastic soil refining process;

Batch coke process carbon disulfide process;

High-mercury catalyst production equipment (mercury chloride content of more than 6.
5%);

An acetylene-based polyvinyl chloride production unit using a high mercury catalyst;

There is a calcium-calcined chromium compound production device;

Sodium methoxide, potassium methoxide, sodium ethoxide, potassium ethoxide, polyurethane, acetaldehyde, caustic soda, pesticide production equipment using mercury or mercury compounds

Compared with the draft for comments, the sulfuric acid/white clay method waste mineral oil re-refining process; the waste mineral oil kettle distillation soil refining process; and the sulfuric acid method to produce sodium dichromate and chromic anhydride in the production of chromium salts are three petrochemical chemical processes

In addition, the "List" also includes home-made coking (including improved coke ovens) in the iron and steel industry, light-industrial fatty acid-based tertiary amine process, and oleum sulfonation process in the light industry

It is reported that the "List" proposes outdated production process equipment that needs to be eliminated for industries such as iron and steel, non-ferrous metals, gold, medicine, machinery, ships, and light industry
