The lubricating oil industry urgently needs to change the development mode

On August 13, the 6th Lubricant Industry Development Summit Forum 2022 was held in Yingkou City, Liaoning Provinc.

Wu Fu, vice president of China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Federation, pointed out in his speech that in recent years, China's lubricating oil industry has developed vigorously and has become the world's largest lubricating oil market, with an annual total output of about 8 million ton.

"The structural contradiction of excess low-end production capacity and shortage of high-end production capacity is the main contradiction that plagues the lubricant industr.

Yao Lidan, deputy secretary general of the Grease Special Committee of the Petrochemical Federation, pointed out that the production of grease is affected by its own resource conditions and needs, and the structure of grease products in different parts of the world is different, but the experience of high-dropping point grease in Europe and the United States is worth learning fro.

Liu Weimin, an academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, said that at present, four problems of talents, resources, platforms and standards restrict the development of China's lubricant industry, and most high-end products are monopolized by foreign countrie.

Wu Fu emphasized that the craftsmanship and technology of high-end lubricant products must be firmly in his own hand.

The forum was hosted by the Small and Medium Enterprises Working Committee of the Petrochemical Federation and the People's Government of Yingkou City, Liaoning Province, and hosted by the Lubricant Enterprise Alliance of the Small and Medium Enterprises Working Committee of the Petrochemical Federation and the Management Committee of the Liaoning (Yingkou) Coastal Industrial Bas.
