Sinopec's Ordos Dalu coal-to-olefin project is a national "13th Five-Year" coal deep processing and upgrading demonstration project.
The chemical part of the project covers a total area of 331 hectares, with an approved investment of 23.
8 billion yuan.
It is planned to be completed and put into operation in 2024
.
The project adopts advanced technology and equipment, and the construction includes 2.
2 million tons/year coal-to-methanol plant and methanol-to-olefin plant, 340,000 tons/year polyethylene plant, 530,000 tons/year polypropylene plant and supporting public works and auxiliary facilities
.
The main works of the project include air separation, pulverized coal gasification, methanol synthesis, methanol to olefins, polyethylene, polypropylene, sulfur recovery units and other major production units
.
The public and auxiliary projects mainly include thermal power station (integrated coal gasification combined cycle process), water supply system, storage and transportation system (coal depot, product tank farm, silo),
etc.
Environmental protection projects mainly include waste water treatment systems, water recycling systems, waste gas treatment facilities, and torches
