Recently, the national 863 plan project "Research and Integration Demonstration of User-side Smart Grid Based on Distributed Energy" led by the China Southern Power Grid Research Institute passed the acceptance of the High-tech Center of the Ministry of Science and Technology, which may bring new opportunities
for the renewal and popularization of microgrids.
It is reported that the core control equipment such as the central controller of the microgrid and the integrated terminal of regional/household metering, monitoring and energy efficiency management developed by this project has successfully integrated the long-time scale energy management related functions and millisecond-level real-time control related functions into the embedded software and hardware platform for the first time in the industry, and realized the distributed power supply and load forecasting functions in the resource-constrained embedded software and hardware platform for the first time, and the prediction accuracy has reached a practical level

The core control equipment of microgrid developed in this project greatly simplifies the structure of the user-side microgrid control system, reduces the cost of the secondary system of the microgrid, and reduces the workload
of microgrid operation and maintenance.
A total of 4 user-side microgrid demonstration projects
have been built: 2 residential household/residential type, 1 commercial residential / office building type and 1 industrial plant type.
