On Jan.
27, Indonesia's mining minister said the Indonesian government and Freeport McMoRan Inc sought a consensus on a copper concentrate export license that would allow Freeport to continue exporting copper concentrate
for at least the next six months.
Freeport's current six-month copper concentrate export license expires on Thursday.
The Indonesian government has said it will not proceed with the licensing unless Freeport pays a $530 million bond
at a new refinery.
